Latest Updates
March 4th, 2015:
So OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire were released before I even managed to catch up on updating the sections for my Pumpkaboo and Yveltal collections. :p
I also visited Japan back in October, which basically made all my ghost-type collections explode.
Suffice to say, it'll be a while before I get this website fully updated (if ever). It's extremely time consuming to take quality photos for this collection website, as I usually have to dedicate an entire weekend to take pictures, upload them to my computer, resize or crop them, and then finally add them to the website. The fact that the lighting in my apartment basically sucks doesn't really help the situation. I'm not abandoning this project though! I'll still strive to make updates when I can.
In the meantime, if you enjoy photos of Pokemon merchandise (even if they're hastily taken with a cell phone camera), then you can follow me on Twitter! I tend to take pictures of my new Pokemon goodies as I receive them in the mail, so there's almost always a steady stream of new merchandise pictures on my Twitter account. You can find me by looking up my username "sanglunaria" or by clicking here.

All this and more on my Twitter! ;D
Welcome to Pyre Embers, my Pokemon Collection website.
Why is this website called "Pyre Embers"? It hints at my top two favorite Pokemon: Haunter and Cyndaquil.
Haunter has been my favorite ever since the day a friend of mine gave me a card of him from the original Base Set trading card game set. I was not very familiar with Pokemon at the time (this was back when it first hit the shores of the US), and the moment I first set my eyes upon that picture of a purple ghost with disembodied hands and a mischievous smile full of fangs, I instantly fell in love. Over the years, Haunter has been very influential on my Pokemon preferences, making many of my newer favorites Ghost-types. And yes, to this day, I still have that card. :)
A few years after I got that Haunter card, news of Pokemon Gold and Silver was starting to come up. By that point, I was already hooked on the trading card game and anime, but I did not own any handheld systems and thus, had never played a Pokemon game before. That did not stop me from eagerly scouring the internet and gaming magazines for images from the new games. It was during one of these searches when I came across Cyndaquil for the first time and decided that he was my favorite out of the three new starter Pokemon. Something about his squinty eyes and rounded features just struck me as cute. Eventually, I got lucky and my grandfather got me a Game Boy Color and Pokemon Silver Version. Naturally, I picked Cyndaquil as my starter, and I picked him again 10 years later in Pokemon SoulSilver Version to relive the memories of my first Pokemon game ever.
Here, on this website, you will find my Haunter and Cyndaquil collections (my two biggest ones), as well as several smaller collections of other Pokemon I like. I do not necessarily strive to collect every single piece of merchandise of every Pokemon I like; I simply go for the ones that appeal to me the most. I hope you enjoy!
