PKMN Trainer Red
When I was playing through my very first Pokemon game, Pokemon Silver Version, I really didn't have a clue as to what I was doing.
I didn't have a player's guide (I already had a hard enough time begging my parents to let me get a Game Boy Color and Pokemon Silver!), nor did I have very easy access to the internet (heck yeah, dial-up internet ftw!). It wasn't exactly like the internet was a huge font of Pokemon knowledge back then, either.
So when I finally made it through Mt. Silver and saw that lonely figure off in the distance, I thought, "Oh, maybe it's some guy who will give me a free special Pokemon!"
Boy was I wrong.
Needless to say, I definitely was not prepared to take on Red, and after my party was completed wiped out, I was feeling really glad about saving my game only a few moments beforehand.
Ever since that legendary encounter, I guess you could say I've sort of been in awe of Red and respected him, as odd as that may sound. I really like that he symbolizes the character you played as from the first generation games, and that he was so well hidden away in Mt. Silver, like an Easter egg of sorts. Not to mention his status as a Champion and his extremely high-leveled Pokemon! Maybe it's a little lame or uncool to like "the strongest character," but I have absolutely no regrets about being a Red fangirl.
